Our Chairman and the founder of Get Changed, Christine Munkenbeck, has retired. She has been the driving force of the organisation since the very beginning in 1995.
We are really grateful for all that Christine has done over the past 21 years.
A big, big thank you, Christine, for all your hard work and dedication!
The Get Changed participants had a Franken-tastic day at Get Changed yesterday. Our Halloween-themed sessions always go down a treat and this year was no exception. As you can see below, we had so much fun with all the boo-tiful costumes and terror-ific face paintings!
Thank you Made-Well for a fabulous day!

Get Changed performed a dazzling James Bond -inspired show at Okehampton's Party in the Park & Battle of the Bands on Saturday 6 August. The participants loved to perform at the event and it was great to hear that the audiences also loved the show. Here are some comments that we received after the show:
The participants have been rehearsing the James Bond -inspired show for some time now, so please do come and see us perform! The entry is free and Party in the Park will start in Simmonds Park in Okehampton at 2pm. Our 30-minute performance will take place on the Maiden Stage at 2.15pm.
A big thank-you to the Clare Milne Trust for making this performance possible and giving the Get Changed participants an opportunity to learn new skills and consolidate old ones - all of which help our participants shine and showcase their individual talents!
This donation ensures that we can continue to develop new performing arts projects and provide our participants with learning experiences that develop their life skills.
A big thank you to Redrow!
The Party itself starts at 2pm and our 30-minute James Bond themed performance
will take place on the Main Stage at 2.50pm. Everyone is invited (FREE entry),
so bring your family and friends along!
We look forward to seeing you there!
Get Changed participants have received Certificates of Achievement to acknowledge their talents, skills, creativity and sheer hard work that they put in during the 18-month Get Changed in Wonderland project.
The project was launched in 2015 and the participants created and rehearsed unique performances based on Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The different theatre and dance shows were performed at various events and festivals across Devon and Cornwall.
Our wonderful Artistic Director Jules Walker presented the certificates to the participants. As you can see below, it was a day of celebration and the participants were deservedly happy and proud of what they had achieved!
