Get Changed is thrilled to be leading a drama workshop at D'ArtsFest on Saturday 9 July. This is your opportunity to come and have fun with props and costumes! You will even have a chance to give a mini performance during the day!
Here are all the important details for the fun weekend ahead:
Get Changed entertained audiences with their Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland -inspired show at Castle Drogo on Saturday.
Their drama piece, The Queen’s Garden Party... and the Case of the Missing Tarts!, was performed in collaboration with Petroc Community Link Drama Group from Tiverton and other newly invited participants with learning disabilities from around the locality.
The National Trust Castle Drogo provided the perfect setting as the play was performed on the croquet lawn and featured all the much-loved characters from Lewis Carroll’s book.
Members of the audience praised the performance and said that it was "superb and inspirational".
Jules Walker, the Artistic Director at Get Changed, said, “In 2015 Get Changed launched an 18-month project to tour the South West telling Alice’s story using a variety of art forms. I‘m so proud of the participants: they have created and rehearsed unique performances for several events and festivals and we’ve had a great time performing across Devon and Cornwall.”
Get Changed participants in collaboration with Petroc Community Link Drama Group will be performing The Queen's Garden Party... and the Case of the Missing Tarts! at Castle Drogo this Saturday. This will be the final chapter of their Alice's Adventures in Wonderland -inspired project, so please come and see all the much-loved characters from Lewis Carroll's book.
